Botanical Etching
Level: Beginner

In this hands-on workshop, learn how to design and print an image etched into metal onto paper. Using a range of etching techniques, you will create an etching utilising fine lines and texture. Discover the possibilities that etching has and how it can be used in your own practice. You will take home a collection of prints on cotton paper, an etching plate, and the skills to continue etching in your own studio. This workshop is eco-friendly and uses the latest research in printmaking processes.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore a range of printmaking processes suitable for the classroom. Using found and recycled materials, you’ll experiment with techniques to create a collection of unique prints, both with and without the use of a printmaking press. This session is designed to inspire creative, sustainable, and accessible printmaking practices that can be easily adapted for any teaching environment.
